  2021 ALL-MISSOURI VALLEY FOOTBALL HONORABLE MENTION (COACHES): QB Chris Oladokun,...In his lone season as a Jackrabbit, Oladokun made an immediate impact at quarterback, completing 63.9 percent (184-of-288) of his passes for 2,450 yards and 20 touchdowns against only five interceptions.   Chris Oladokun passed for three touchdowns and caught one of his own from Pierre Strong Jr., who rushed for 150 yards, as South Dakota State blanked Indiana State 44-0 on Saturday in both teams' Missouri Valley Football Conference opener. All three of Oladokun's touchdown throws came in the first half but not until he handed the ball off to Strong, who threw back to the wide-open quarterback for a 22-yard score and the game's first points. Oladokun completed TD tosses 42 yards to Jaxon Janke, 33 yards to Jadon Janke and 26 yards to Tucker Kraft as the Jackrabbits (3-0, 1-0), ranked No. 3 in the FCS coaches' poll, rolled to a 34-0 halftime lead.

Amar Johnson added the other touchdown, bursting up the middle through Sycamore defenders for a 22-yard score in the fourth quarter. Oladokun finished with 216 yards passing. Strong had 20 carries in going over 100 yards in all four games this season and the 14th time in his career. South Dakota State outgained the Sycamores (2-2, 0-1) 517-226. Adam Bock had 10 tackles and an interception for the Jackrabbits, who turned in their first shutout since a 39-0 victory over Missouri State in 2015. - AP College Football

  SEPT 13 MISSOURI VALLEY TOP PERFORMANCE: QB Chris Oladokun, South Dakota State - In less than two quarters of action Sept. 11 against Lindenwood, Oladokun completed 12-of-14 passes for 171 yards and four touchdowns. South Dakota State scored touchdowns on all five of the drives Oladokun led en route to a 52-7 home victory.   Chris Oladokun threw four touchdown passes in the first half, leading FCS third-ranked South Dakota State to a 52-7 victory over Division II-member Lindenwood on Saturday night. Oladokun was 12-of-14 passing for 171 yards. He connected with two TD passes from inside the 5 to Zach Heins. In the second, he hit tight end Tucker Kraft with scoring throws from the 5 and 13. Cole Frahm's career-best 54-yard field goal made it 38-0 at halftime. Pierre Strong Jr. had seven carries for 110 yards rushing that included a 68-yard run and 7-yard TD for South Dakota State (2-0). Amar Johnson added 105 yards rushing and 1-yard TD run. The Jackrabbits put up 426 yards of offense in the first half and finished with 560.   SEPT 6 MISSOURI VALLEY FOOTBALL CO-NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK: QB Chris Oladokun, South Dakota State, Grad., 6-2, 195, Tampa, Fla./Sickles High/Samford,...In his Jackrabbit debut, Oladokun accounted for three touchdowns – two passing and one rushing – in South Dakota State's 42-23 season-opening victory at Colorado State on Sept. 3. A transfer from Samford, he completed 18-of-28 passes for 224 yards and also rushed two times for 19 yards, including an 11-yard touchdown that capped the scoring for SDSU. Jiles' goal-line surge for a score broke a 17-17 tie and put the Bulldogs (4-4, 3-2 Southern Conference) ahead with 6:22 to play. Linebacker Jaleel Laguins recovered an East Tennessee State fumble with 1:10 remaining to seal the win. Chris Oladokun threw for 134 yards and a touchdown for the Bulldogs. Jay Stanton ran for 44 yards and a score.

Stanton capped Samford's first drive with a 2-yard scoring run. But the Bulldogs allowed two unanswered East Tennessee State touchdowns in the second quarter to trail 14-7 at halftime. Mitchell Fineran opened the second half with a 42-yard field goal and Oladokun's 3-yard touchdown throw to Michael Vice late in the third gave the Bulldogs a 17-14 lead. The junior from Tampa, Florida, contributed with his arm and his legs, throwing for 250 yards and three touchdowns and rushing for a career-best 95 yards and another score. Oladokun threw TD passes of 13, 15 and 82 yards and his rushing touchdown went for 6 yards. The junior from Tampa, Florida, accounted for two of Samford's three scores, rushing for a team-high 79 yards and a touchdown and throwing for 230 yards and a score, going 17-for-25 through the air. His 30-yard touchdown run in the third quarter proved the difference in the contest as the Bulldogs topped the Terriers for the fifth straight time and halted Wofford's 18-game win streak in home openers.   SEPT 2/WEEK 1 SOUTHERN CONFERENCE OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Chris Oladokun, Samford, Jr., QB, Tampa, Fla.,...Samford quarterback Chris Oladokun tied the Samford records for touchdown passes and touchdowns responsible for in the Bulldogs' 59-58, double-overtime loss at Tennessee Tech on Saturday. The junior from Tampa, Florida, was an efficient 19-for-24 passing for 428 yards and six TDs against the Golden Eagles, while he also rushed for 42 yards and another score.

His pass efficiency rating of 311.47 ranks eighth in a game in SoCon history, while his six passing TDs ties for second and his seven touchdowns responsible for tie for third. In his Samford debut against Youngstown State on Aug. 24, Oladokun entered the contest in the fourth quarter and went 7-for-10 for 125 yards and a touchdown, adding 14 yards and another score on the ground.   Chris Oladokun dashed 30 yards for the game-winning score in the third quarter as Samford earned its first win of the season by knocking off Wofford, 21-14 in a Southern Conference opener Saturday. Samford starred the season with a 45-22 loss to Youngstown State and a heartbreaker in two overtimes at Tennessee Tech. Wofford came into the game ranked No. 21 in the Football Championship Subdivision. Both teams came into the game after a bye week. Wofford lost its opener at South Carolina State. Samford now owns 12 victories in 17 games against Wofford.Oladokun completed 17 of 25 passes for 224 yards and a touchdown, but he was also picked off twice. He ran 12 times for 77 yards, including the game winning score. His 12-yard pass to Robert Adams in the first quarter tied the game at 14-14. Wofford attempted just six passes, completing two and finished with negative yardage. Joe Newman carried 16 times for 105 yards to lead the Terriers on the ground, where they gained 284 yards. Nathan Walker carried had 32 yards rushing on 10 carries and scored both Wofford touchdowns, staking his team to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter. - AP College Football
