  2019 ALL-OHIO VALLEY CONFERENCE FIRST TEAM (COACHES): Daryl McCleskey Jr., Eastern Kentucky,...McCleskey was the only player in the conference to rush for 1,000 yards this season, finishing with 454 more yards than any other. The senior totaled 1,238 yards on 214 carries for an average of 5.8 yards per touch. He scored eight touchdowns on the ground and caught one. He finished the season with 28 receptions, the second-most on the team, for 197 yards. In addition to leading the OVC in rushing, McCleskey was fourth in rushing touchdowns and third in all-purpose yards (119.6 per game). He is ninth in the country in rushing yards, 13th in yards per game, 23rd in yards per carry and 57th in rushing touchdowns. The Dayton native ran for a career-best, and eclipsed the 2,000-yard career rushing mark, with 202 yards against Tennessee State. - Eastern Kentucky Football

  Daryl McCleskey and Alonzo Booth scored touchdowns, Sam Hayworth kicked three field goals and Eastern Kentucky defeated Tennessee Tech 22-10 on Saturday. McCleskey, who ran for 106 yards on 26 carries, scored on a 1-yard run late in the first quarter. The touchdown tied the game after Bailey Fisher opened the scoring with a 6-yard run for what would be Tennessee Tech's only touchdown. Hayworth kicked field goals of 22, 36 and 29 yards in the second quarter and Booth added a 1-yard TD run in the fourth. Eastern Kentucky (6-5, 4-3 Ohio Valley) rushed for 230 yards and held Tennessee Tech (6-5, 3-4) to 2 rushing yards and 11 first downs. Bailey Fisher completed 20 of 35 passes for 148 yards for the Golden Eagles. EKU sacked Fisher seven times. Taquan Evans led the way with three.   Daryl McCleskey Jr. ran for 202 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and Eastern Kentucky rolled to a 42-16 victory over Tennessee State on Saturday night in an Ohio Valley Conference opener. The senior McCleskey surpassed 2,000 career yards rushing and has now run for over 100 yards in three straight games. He had a 68-yard run that set up a 5-yard TD run to cap the scoring with five minutes left. He also had a 9-yard touchdown run in the third quarter.

Alonzo Booth added 115 yards on the ground and two touchdowns as the Colonels (3-2, 1-0) finished with 379 yards rushing. Parker McKinney had a 6-yard scoring run and threw a 26-yard touchdown pass to Jackson Beerman. Te'kendrick Roberson's 8-yard touchdown run pulled Tennessee State (1-4, 0-1) to 28-16 late in the third quarter.   2019 ALL-OHIO VALLEY CONFERENCE FOOTBALL TEAM (COACHES): RB - Daryl McCleskey Jr., Eastern Kentucky,...McCleskey was a third team All-OVC pick by Phil Steele after the 2018 season. The 5-foot-9, 185 pound senior was second on the team with 651 rushing yards, averaging 4.5 yards per carry.He scored five rushing touchdowns. The Dayton, Ohio native caught 12 passes for 74 yards and two touchdowns. McCleskey was fifth in the OVC in rushing yards and fifth in rushing yards per game (59.2). - Eastern Kentucky Football
