  06/01/20 - OG Dylan PowellrSr/2022, Indiana, 6-3, 308 (DS#75 OG) + More +

Indiana offensive lineman Dylan Powell announced Monday that the NCAA has approved his waiver for a sixth year of eligibility. Powell, a grad transfer from Stanford, sat out the 2019 season with a labrum tear. He also redshirted his freshman season in 2016, which made him eligible to seek a sixth year. When the Hoosiers coaching staff recruited Powell, they expected to have him for two years.

Powell should help the Hoosiers solidify the interior of their offensive line, especially following the graduation of center Hunter Littlejohn and guard Simon Stepaniak from the 2019 roster. In the spring, the 6-foot-3, 300-pounder from Hannibal, Mo., was practicing at guard, but he also has the ability to play center. Senior Harry Crider, who played left guard last season, can also play center. In 2018, Powell started three games for the Cardinal and appeared in 11 total, playing both guard and center. - Indianapolis Star/News
