  02/28/22 - OLB Joey NoblerSr/2022, New Mexico, 6-2, 240 (DS#65 OLB) + More +

2021 ALL-MOUNTAIN WEST HONORABLE MENTION (COACHES): Joey Noble, DL,...While no Lobo made the first or second team, a case can certainly be made that Noble should have been somewhere among the eight defensive linemen on the first and second teams. Noble recorded 18.5 tackles for loss which is 10th all-time at UNM and tied for second in the Mountain West. The 18.5 TFLs also is tied for fourth in the country in the FBS. His 72 tackles were the most for any defensive linemen in the Mountain West as Noble led a defense that showed tremendous statistical improvement, ranking 49th in total defense at 363.1 yards allowed per game, better than the 447.1 yards allowed in 2020 (101st) and nearly a 122-yard improvement from the 485.7 allowed in 2019 (129th). - New Mexico Football

  01/18/21 - OLB Joey NoblerSr/2022, New Mexico, 6-2, 240 (DS#65 OLB) + More +

Fourteen seniors, nine on defense led by end Joey Noble, are returning on scholarship to play for the University of New Mexico football team, coach Danny Gonzales announced via Twitter on Saturday morning. Those staying with the Lobos are defensive backs Patrick Peek, Shaddrick Lowery, Tony Collier and Corey Hightower; defensive linemen Noble, Ben Gansallo and Adam Gay; linebackers Reco Hannah and Devin Sanders; offensive linemen Kyle Stapley, Austin Cook and Ben Davis; tight end Kyle Jarvis; and wide receiver Emmanuel Logan-Greene. The coronavirus-delayed and shortened 2020 season did not count against a player's eligibility. Last year, before the season, Gonzales told the UNM seniors that none would be guaranteed a scholarship in 2021 due to the Lobos' cap of 85 scholarships. - Albuquerque Journal

2020 ALL-MOUNTAIN WEST FOOTBALL HONORABLE MENTION (COACHES): Joey Noble, DL,...Noble, a senior, recorded 40 tackles on the season, the third-best mark among all defensive linemen in the Mountain West. His 4.0 sacks led the team and was 10th in the Mountain West and it was the most by a Lobo defensive lineman since Garrett Hughes had 6.5 sacks in 2016. Noble also led UNM with 5.0 tackles for loss, and he also forced a fumble and recovered a fumble. - New Mexico Football
