  2019 ALL-PATRIOT LEAGUE SECOND TEAM (COACHES): WR: Jorge Portorreal, Lehigh, Jr.,...Portorreal earned his second consecutive all-league honor, making the second team after earning first-team recognition last season. In 10 games, Portorreal hauled in 52 passes for 575 yards and a touchdown. He ranked third in the Patriot League with 5.2 receptions per game. Portorreal caught a touchdown pass at Villanova, tied a career-high with nine receptions at UC Davis and enjoyed a 100-yard receiving day with 103 yards on eight receptions against Georgetown. - Lehigh Football

  Zaythan Hill ran nine yards for the game-winning touchdown in the final minute to give Lehigh a second-straight win and hand Colgate a sixth-straight loss, 21-14 in the Patriot League opener Saturday afternoon. Lehigh entered the game ranked 15th nationally at stopping the run, allowing an average of 90.2 yards per game. The Mountain Hawks held the Raiders to just nine net yards on the ground. Colgate scored its first touchdown on a fumble recovery in the end zone by Prince Ekwughalu. Malik Twyman carried three straight times from the Lehigh 14 to give Colgate a 14-7 lead in the second quarter.

Tyler Monaco was 16 of 28 for 231 yards passing and a 19-yard touchdown to Nate Hope to start the second quarter. Monaco scored from a yard out to tie game just before intermission. Neither team scored in the second half until Hill punched through with :33 left in the game. With nowhere to run, Grant Breneman, the preseason All-Patriot League quarterback, was 19 of 27 for 204 yards for the Raiders. The Mountain Hawks (2-3, 0-1) opened the season with losses to Saint Francis, No. 24 Villanova and No. 4 UC Davis before breaking through with a 10-3 win over Merrimack last week. Defending Patriot League champion Colgate (0-6, 0-1) opened the season with losses to Villanova, William & Mary, No. 22 Maine, Air Force and Dartmouth.   2019 PRESEASON PATRIOT LEAGUE FIRST TEAM (SID'S/COACHES): WR: Jorge Portorreal, Lehigh (Jr.),...Portorreal captured his first all-league honor last November after leading the Mountain Hawks with 55 receptions for 794 yards and three touchdowns. He enjoyed a career day last November against Bucknell, earning Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week honors following a nine-catch, 216-yard, two touchdown effort in Lehigh's 45-17 victory.

The 216 yards matched the sixth-highest single game total in school annals. Portorreal also had six catches for 151 yards and an 85-yard touchdown catch at Georgetown in October. Through two seasons, the Union, N.J., native has 111 receptions for 1,523 yards and five touchdowns and has also featured in the return game for the Mountain Hawks. - Lehigh Football
