08/24/14 - S Adrian Wilson will be released by the Bears , the Chicago Tribune reported Saturday.
The 34-year-old Wilson signed with the Bears in June after spending the entire 2013 season on New England's injured reserve list because of an Achilles injury.
Wilson was one of the league's most feared safeties while with the Arizona Cardinals. For his career, he compiled 25.5 sacks, nearly 900 tackles and 27 interceptions.
He did see action in the Bears' 34-6 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Friday. He recorded one tackle.

06/23/14 - S Adrian Wilson was signed by the Bears Monday. A five-time Pro Bowler (2006, '08-11), Wilson has started 162-of-181 games over 12 seasons (2001-12) with Arizona, recording 885 tackles, 27 interceptions, 25.5 sacks, 99 pass break ups, 15 forced fumbles and eight fumble recoveries. He has four return touchdowns (two interception and two fumble return). The 6-3, 230-pound Wilson is one of 13 players to record 20 or more interceptions and 20 or more sacks in their career since sacks became an official statistic in 1982.
Wilson spent the 2013 season with the Patriots on injured reserve with an ankle injury. H ewas released by New England in early April.

Wilson, 34, is a veteran of 13 NFL seasons with the Arizona Cardinals (2001-12) and the Patriots (2013). The 6-foot-3, 230 pounder, signed with the Patriots as a free agent on March 16, 2013, but missed the entire season after suffering an ankle injury in the preseason that forced him to spend the year on injured reserve.
Wilson originally entered the NFL as a third-round draft choice (64th overall) by the Cardinals out of North Carolina State in 2001. He was released by Arizona on March 8, 2013.
Wilson has played in 181 career games with 162 starts and compiled 716 tackles, 25½ sacks and 27 interceptions in his 12 years with the Cardinals. He holds the NFL record for most sacks in a single season by a defensive back (8), is the Cardinals' all-time leader in passes defensed (99) and forced fumbles (15), and his 99-yard interception return for a touchdown in 2006 is tied with Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie for the longest in team history. Wilson has earned Pro Bowl honors five times (2006, 2008-11) and All-Pro honors four times (2006, 2008-09, 2011). He is just the sixth player in NFL history to record 25 sacks and 25 interceptions.
