10/10/18 - QB Drew Brees was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week after surpassing Peyton Manning as the NFL's new all-time leader in passing yards on Monday. Brees threw for 363 yards with three touchdowns in the Saints' win over the Washington Redskins.
10/04/18 - QB Drew Brees has not thrown an interception in his last five regular-season games, the longest such streak of his career, which covers a span of 203 passes.
09/30/18 - QB Drew Brees, who came into the game against the New York Giants having completed over 80 percent of his passes, finished completing 56.2 percent of his passes on an 18-of-32 showing for 217 yards. Brees did not throw a touchdown pass for the first time this season and for the first time since a 47-10 win over Buffalo last season.
09/26/18 - QB Drew Brees was named the rNFC Offensive Player of the Week, the NFL announced on Wednesday. Brees completed 39 of 49 passes for 396 yards and three touchdowns while rushing for two more scores, including one in overtime of the Saints' 43-37 victory over the Atlanta Falcons. The 39-year-old has captured Offensive Player of the Week honors on 23 occasions.
09/23/18 - QB Drew Brees set the NFL record for most completed passes in a career on Sunday. Brees broke Hall of Famer Brett Favre's record by finding Michael Thomas with a 17-yard pass for his 6,301st career completion in the second quarter of the Saints' game against the Atlanta Falcons. Favre, who played 20 NFL seasons with the Green Bay Packers, New York Jets and Minnesota Vikings, passed Hall of Famer Dan Marino (4,967) to initially set his completion record. Brees now resides approximately 700 yards shy of Peyton Manning's all-time mark of 71,940 career passing yards.
