 Draft Scout Geronimo Allison News
11/06/18 - WR Geronimo Allison was placed on on injured reserve by the Packers on Tuesday with a groin injury. He must sit out at least eight weeks and could return only in the postseason, if the Packers reach the playoffs. Allison suffered the injury last Thursday in practice and did not play in Green Bay's 31-17 loss to New England on Sunday night. Allison played just five games, including four starts, this season, but he still ranks fourth on the team in receptions (20) and receiving yards (303) and had two touchdown catches.
11/05/18 - WR Geronimo Allison did not play Sunday due to a groin injury he sustained as practice on Thursday. Now it's possible Allison might need to undergo surgery.
11/02/18 - WR Geronimo Allison injured his groin during Thursday's practice, putting his availability in doubt for Sunday's matchup against the New England Patriots. "We'll see where he is tomorrow," Packers coach Mike McCarthy told reporters after Thursday's practice, per ESPN. Allison had missed two games due to a concussion and hamstring injury before returning against the Los Angeles Rams last weekend. He had one catch for 14 yards.
10/25/18 - WR Geronimo Allison is expected to play Sunday against the unbeaten Los Angeles Rams. Allison has missed the past two games due to a concussion and injured hamstring. Prior to getting hurt, he was the team's top deep threat with 289 yards and two touchdowns on 19 catches. He had six receptions for 80 yards in a 22-0 win over Buffalo in Week 4.
10/24/18 - WR Geronimo Allison (concussion, hamstring) has missed the last two games. WR Randall Cobb (hamstring) has missed the last three games. They appear set to return to the lineup. Their absences allowed rookies Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Equanimeous St. Brown to get on the field and make key contributions, which should only help in the long run. "It'd be great" to be full strength on offense, quarterback Aaron Rodgers said. "Obviously, Geronimo had a great start to the season and Randall, as well. Those nagging injuries that have kept them out have been tough on them, but they've been great teammates in the room, helping those guys get ready. I'm really proud of Eq and MVS of stepping up and making some big-time plays. That's what we need them to do, to step in like they did."
