Draft Scout *Deshaun Watson News
10/29/18 - QB DeShaun Watson was 16 of 20 for 239 yards and five touchdowns in Thursday's win over the Dolphins.
10/21/18 - QB Deshaun Watson completed 12-of-24 passes for 139 yards and a touchdown but no turnovers. It was a gutty performance by the Houston quarterback who made a 12-hour trip from Houston to Jacksonville on a customized bus with three other Texans officials because of Watson's bruised lung and injured ribs. The team was concerned about the effect the air pressure on an airplane might have had on Watson."It was smooth," Watson said about his ride to northeast Florida. "We just kind of hung out, watched the film, recovery stuff, played a game, watched TV, slept. Stopped and got something to eat. That was pretty much it."
10/17/18 - QB Deshaun Watson was a full participant in practice after last week being limited all week with a chest injury. Watson will make his first start vs. Jacksonville on Sunday. He made his NFL debut in relief against the Jaguars in 2017.
10/15/18 - QB Deshaun Watson is dealing with a chest, rib and lung issue which was clearly bothering him on Sunday. He is expected to play this week against Jacksonville.
10/10/18 - QB Deshaun Watson took a beating during the Houston Texans' 19-16 victory over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night, but said on Wednesday that he will be ready to go this week against Buffalo.
The Houston Chronicle reported that Watson, who received treatment on the sideline during the game after taking several big hits, is dealing with a chest injury. "For sure," Watson said, according to Deepi Sidhu of the Texans' official website, when he was asked if he would be able to face the Bills. "I feel good; I feel great," added Watson, who completed 33 of 44 passes for 375 yards with one touchdown and one interception against the Cowboys. "I've been sore plenty of times. That's part of the game." Texans head coach Bill O'Brien, who said earlier that he would "let the injury report speak for itself," this time responded with, "Oh, yeah," when asked by reporters if he thought Watson would play on Sunday.
