Arkansas, Tennessee and Mississippi State all lost at home on Saturday and disappeared from the rankings. Auburn avoided an upset at home with an overtime win over Jacksonville State but tumbled from No. 6 to No. 18. Ohio State maintained the No. 1 spot, but is no longer a unanimous pick. Michigan State received two first-place votes and rose to No. 4 overall after its 31-28 victory over Oregon in East Lansing, Mich. Alabama stayed at No. 2 and TCU at No. 3. Following Michigan State were Baylor, USC, Georgia, Notre Dame, Florida State and UCLA. Arkansas lost to Toledo, Tennessee fell in overtime to Oklahoma and Mississippi State dropped its SEC opener to LSU, which moved up to No. 11 in the poll this week. 03/17/14 - Ohio State safety Vonn Bell, figured to be a potential starter for the Buckeyes, will miss the rest of spring practice after knee surgery. Bell tore the medial collateral in his knee and is expected to be unable to return to full-speed workouts until May. A sophomore from Rossville, Ga., Bell had 19 tackles a year ago, including one for minus yardage. He also had an interception. He was expected to start for the Buckeyes, who graduated their three top safeties from a year ago, Christian Bryant, C.J. Barnett and Corey Brown. - AP Sports
