Quali Conley rushed for a career-high 215 yards and Darius Nash had a game-turning interception to spark Utah Tech's 34-28 victory over Tarleton on Saturday. With Tarleton leading 14-10 and driving deep into Utah Tech territory Nash leaped high to make the interception and headed upfield, picking up a sideline block near midfield on his way to a 95-yard return for a touchdown. The touchdown started a run of 24 consecutive points that gave Utah Tech (4-6, 2-3 WAC) a 34-14 lead. The run included a 30-yard touchdown blast by Conley.

Tarleton (5-5, 1-4) finally answered with two touchdowns in the fourth quarter, first on a 50-yard pass from Beau Allen to Darius Cooper and secondly on a 2-yard run by Ontario Douglas. Utah Tech recovered an onside kick after the second touchdown and ran the final minute-plus off the clock. Utah Tech's Victor Gabalis was 22-of-36 passing for 372 yards with touchdowns of 16 and 19 yards to Joey Hobert who finished with 10 receptions for 140 yards.   10/02/22 - Jayden de LaurarSr/2024, Arizona, 5-11, 207 (DS#40 QB) + More +

Jayden de Laura threw for 484 yards and tied a school record with six touchdowns, Jacob Cowing caught 12 passes for 180 yards and a touchdown and Arizona used that big night through the air to beat Colorado 43-20 on Saturday. There were several offensive stars for Arizona, but it was a particularly good night for Dorian Singer, who made a pair of highlight-reel catches. The second - a fingertip catch in the back of the end zone for a 5-yard touchdown - gave the Wildcats a 19-7 lead. Singer finished with nine catches for 163 yards.

Arizona (3-2, 1-1 Pac-12) is halfway to the six wins needed for bowl eligibility, one year after a dismal 1-11 campaign. The Wildcats rolled up 673 yards of total offense. It was another lopsided loss for the Buffs (0-5, 0-2), who lost their first four games by at least 25 points and weren't much better against the Wildcats. Colorado freshman Owen McCown completed 14 of 30 passes for 186 yards and a touchdown. He also ran for 43 yards and a touchdown. The Wildcats took a 26-13 lead into halftime. The game could have been even more lopsided but Arizona couldn't convert on a few good opportunities. Among them: Singer's acrobatic one-handed grab for a 47-yard gain early in the second quarter put Arizona on Colorado's 3-yard line, but the Buffs stuffed the next four plays to keep the Wildcats out of the end zone. De Laura threw for 273 yards and four touchdowns before halftime. - Arizona/AP College Football

It marked the first forced fumble of his career. He recorded four solo tackles and four assists...On NDSU's first drive of the second quarter, Echols sacked Bisons QB Cam Miller for a loss of 12 yards and forced the ball out for a fumble, the fumble was recovered by linebacker Jerry Roberts. The offense then marched down the field, going 83 yards on 10 plays and scoring a touchdown on a seven-yard rush by QB Jayden de Laura to give Arizona a 14-7 lead with 5:45 left in the first half...Only the second Arizona player to achieve this honor since the award began prior to the 2019 season. Kyon Barrs won it in Week 10 of last season. First time a Pac-12 football player of the week award has been shared since 2008 when USC's C.J.   09/18/22 - Jayden de LaurarSr/2024, Arizona, 5-11, 207 (DS#40 QB) + More +

As the final seconds ticked off the clock, Arizona's players sprinted down the field celebrating, knowing that a win over giant-slayer North Dakota State was no small feat. Six straight Football Bowl Subdivision teams had fallen to the Bison. A newly-revived Arizona program wasn't going to be the seventh. Jayden de Laura threw for 229 yards and a touchdown, ran for another score, and Arizona rallied to beat NDSU 31-28 on Saturday night. In the process, receiver Dorian Singer said he learned something about his Wildcats as Pac-12 play approaches. "When stuff hits the fan, if we have each other's back, we can beat anybody," said Singer, who finished with a team-high 88 yards receiving. The Wildcats snapped North Dakota State's FBS win streak at six games, dating to 2010.

The Bison have won nine out of the past 11 national championships at the FCS level and boast several NFL alumni - including quarterbacks Carson Wentz, Trey Lance and Easton Stick. Arizona was trailing 28-24 midway through the fourth quarter but got a crucial stop on fourth-and-2 at its own 23 to flip momentum. The Wildcats then drove the field and took a 31-28 lead on de Laura's perfectly placed 22-yard touchdown pass to Jacob Cowing in the corner of the end zone. Arizona's defense did the rest, holding NDSU's previously prolific running game in check. De Laura finished 20-of-29 passing. The Wildcats now have a 2-1 record one season after finishing with a 1-11 mark. "Our players did a fantastic job tonight," Arizona coach Jedd Fisch said. "It was a very clean football game. We were 4-for-4 in the red zone, no turnovers, one penalty." North Dakota State's Hunter Luepke scored three touchdowns - two on the ground and one through the air. He ran for 115 yards, leading the Bison's 283-yard rushing attack. - Arizona/AP College Football

  09/15/22 - Tiaoalii SavearSr/2026, Arizona, 6-4, 301 (DS#999 DT) + More +

Arizona defensive tackle Tiaoalii Savea, injured late in the first quarter vs. MSU, will be a game-time decision against North Dakota State. Savea suffered an injury to his right lower leg after a cut block by Bulldogs left tackle Kwatrivous Johnson. The play was going to the offense's right. Johnson and Savea were nowhere near the ball. But cut-blocking is legal under those circumstances. "As long as you get cut within the tackle box, you can do that," coach Jedd Fisch said. "I've certainly coached that for a lot of years. So I'm not going to comment on that." - Arizona Star
