Shea Patterson lasted just two months with the Kansas City Chiefs, cut on Friday to make room for veteran Matt Moore. The former Michigan quarterback was waived after signing with the Super Bowl champions in May as an undrafted free agent, a source confirmed to MLive. Patterson turned in two productive seasons at Michigan, completing 60 percent of his passes for 5,661 yards and 45 touchdowns (with 15 interceptions) while earning all-Big Ten honors twice. He was 19-7 as a starter but never able to live up to the high expectations set after his transfer from Ole Miss. If Patterson is unable to catch on with another NFL team, he could look to the CFL, where the British Columbia Lions acquired his rights in 2019. He's also under contract with the Texas Rangers of Major League Baseball. - Ann Arbor News
