2022 PRESEASON ALL-BIG SOUTH CONFERENCE TEAM (COACHES/MEDIA): DB Hombre Kennedy, Gr., Charleston Southern,...Kennedy will lead a secondary unit from his safety spot after he secured a career high and team-best three interceptions last season on his way t o earning All-Big South Second Team honors. He grabbed the picks against three league opponents: at Robert Morris, against Hampton and at Gardner-Webb, while also adding 43 tackles, eight pass breakups and two forced fumbles to his resume. Off the field, he was voted to the All-Big South Academic Team and as a Bob McCloskey Insurance Graduate Fellowship recipient by the league office. - Charleston Southern Football

2021 ALL-BIG SOUTH CONFERENCE SECOND-TEAM (COCHES/MEDIA): DB - Hombre Kennedy, Sr., Charleston Southern,...Kennedy led Charleston Southern this fall with a career-best three interceptions, all coming in league play with picks at Robert Morris, against Ha mpton and at Gardner-Webb. The three interceptions, which were returned for 57 yards, were the first of his career and he finished tied for third among his league peers. The product of Summerville, South Carolina, posted at least one pass breakup in six games, including multiple in league action against Monmouth and against Hampton. He tallied five solo stops among his six tackles at Gardner-Webb in the league regular-season finale. It came one week after a season-best seven stops against North Carolina A&T. He also forced two fumbles, creating the opposing miscues at North Alabama and at Gardner-Webb on his way to receiving his first career All-Big South accolade. - Charleston Southern Football
