  2022 ALL-CONFERENCE USA SECOND TEAM: WR: Grant DuBose, Charlotte,...An elite receiver, DuBose shared the team lead and ranks second in C-USA with a 49ers' single-season school-record nine receiving touchdowns, six of which came in C-USA play. He had a team-high 64 receptions for 792 yards to average 12.4 yards per catch and 66.0 yards per game. In league play, he had a pair of TD catches at FAU and vs. UTEP and added TD catches against Rice and Middle Tennessee. In non-conference play he had two TD catches in the win at Georgia State and one against Maryland. He had 85 or more receiving yards at FAU, vs. WKU and at Middle Tennessee, including a high of 112 against the Blue Raiders. DuBose earned All-C-USA Honorable Mention, last season. - Charlotte Football

  2022 PRESEASON BILETNIKOFF AWARD WATCH LIST: Grant DuBose, Charlotte,...DuBose burst onto the scene in 2021 as an impact transfer from Miles College. He led the 49ers with 62 catches for 892 yards and shared the team-lead with six TD catches. Memorably, he had two TD catches in his debut as the 49ers defeated Duke, 31-28, for the program's first win over a power conference opponent. He turned his first target as a 49er into a 56-yard TD reception against the Blue Devils and finished the game with a season-high 118 receiving yards.

He also had a pair of TD catches in the 49ers C-USA victory over Middle Tennessee. He had eight games with 70 or more receiving yards, including three 100-yard performances: 118 vs. Duke; 114 vs. Middle Tennessee and 108 at Louisiana Tech. His 892 receiving yards are the third-most by a 49er in school history and the second-most at the FBS-level. He averaged 14.4 yards per reception and 74.3 yards per game. - Charlotte Football

  The Charlotte 49ers had eight players selected to Phil Steele's 2022 Preseason All-Conference USA football teams. Charlotte had four offensive players, two defensive players and two special teamers named to Steele's annual list of the league's top players. First team selections included junior wide receiver Grant DuBose, who made an immediate impact as the 49ers leading receiver in his first year with the program, and kick returner Shadrick Byrd, who was named to the league's All-Freshman team as both a returner and running back, last season.
