2022 ALL-BIG SKY THIRD TEAM: K Isaiah Gomez (UCD),...Gomez finished his Aggie career on fire, proving to be one of the most reliable kickers in the country as he connected on his final 15 field goal attempts. The senior was a perfect 3-for-3 on field goa ls in four different contests as his 1.64 field goals per game led the Big Sky and ranked second in the nation. He finished 18-for-24 with a long of 46 yards. His 19 field goals in 2021 and now his 18 this season are the top two single season marks in sc hool history. - California-Davis Football

2021 ALL-BIG SKY CONFERENCE SECOND TEAM (COACHES): K Isaiah Gomez, UC Davis,...Isaiah Gomez and Daniel Whelan continued a strong run of Aggie kicking in recent years with both making the All-Big Sky Second team for special teams. Gomez finshes the regula r season as the Aggies' leading scorer as he went 18-23 on the season. He was perfect from 20 to 29 yards and achieved his season-long of 45 yards under less than ideal conditions against Eastern Washington two weeks ago. - California-Davis Football

Miles Hastings passed for 279 yards and a pair of touchdowns, Isaiah Gomez kicked four field goals and UC Davis defeated Northern Arizona 40-24 on Saturday for a third straight win. The Aggies (8-1, 5-1), ranked seventh in the FCS coaches poll, did not f ace Big Sky Conference's fourth-ranked Montana State this season but take on conference leaders fifth-ranked Eastern Washington and No. 22 Sacramento State to close out the season. Following a safety, Carson Crawford fired a 41-yard touchdown pass to Lan Larison to cap a seven-play drive as UC Davis grabbed a 9-7 lead. Northern Arizona regained the lead 11 plays later when RJ Martinez scored on a 12-yard carry. By the end of the first half, however, UC Davis had taken the lead for good, 20-17, on a Gome z 24-yuard field goal, He added a pair of 31-yarders in the second half. UC Davis pushed its lead to 37-17 by the end of the third quarter, outgaining NAU (4-5, 3-3) 494 yards to 336 in total offense. - AP College Football

SEPT 6 BIG SKY FOOTBALL CO-SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Specialists UC Davis' Isaiah Gomez and Montana's Brian Buschini were each instrumental in their team's FBS victories over the weekend. Gomez connected on all four of his field goals, which tied a school record and matched his entire spring output, while accounting for 13 of the 19 points UC Davis scored in its win at Tulsa.
