  NOV 14 MISSOURI VALLEY CO-OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: QB Tommy Schuster, North Dakota, 6-0, 200, Jr., Macomb, Mich. (Chippewa Valley),...In the 28-19 win over South Dakota, Schuster went 24-for-28 passing for 223 yards and three touchdowns. He surrendered one interception before halftime but was not sacked in the game. It was his eighth game this season with at least 20 completions. This season alone, Schuster has a completion percentage of 71.6. His career completions percentage is 67.1 percent, up from 64.8 percent at the beginning of the season. Already this season, Schuster has cemented his place in UND history as the all-time record holder at UND for passing yards in a career (6,487), all-time career completions (601) and UND Division I touchdown passes thrown (40). In the last nine-plus quarters, Schuster has completed 46 of his past 54 attempts (85.2 percent). - Missouri Valley Football

  Tommy Schuster threw three straight touchdown passes to propel North Dakota to a 28-19 win over South Dakota in a Missouri Valley Conference battle Saturday. Shuster hit Bo Belquist from two-yards out with 10 seconds left in the first half to give the Fighting Hawks the lead, 14-13, at intermission. Shuster then went back to Belquist for a 3-yard touchdown and found Isaiah Smith on an 11-yard strike to take a 28-13 lead after three quarters. Aidan Bouman, who threw two first-half touchdown passes to stake the Coyotes to a 13-7 advantage, added a third touchdown pass in the fourth quarter.

South Dakota converted just one of its three PAT attempts. Eddie Ogamba missed on the Coyotes first touchdown and had his kick blocked in the fourth quarter. Shuster completed 24 of 28 passes for 243 yards and three touchdowns with an interception to lead North Dakota (7-3, 5-2). Bouman was 15 of 27 for 151 yards passing and three touchdowns for South Dakota (3-7, 2-5). North Dakota closes out the regular season at North Dakota State next Saturday.   NOV 7 MISSOURI VALLEY PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINEE: QB Tommy Schuster, North Dakota - In the 42-7 win at Indiana State, Tommy Schuster not only broke two school records with his arm, but also finished 16-of-19 passing in a game where wind gusted over 25-MPH consistently. Schuster paced the offense through the air, throwing for 162 yards and two touchdowns on 16-of-19 passing. The two touchdowns thrown gave Schuster the UND Division I record for touchdown passes (37), while the 162 yards passing gives him 6,259 yards through the air to make him the all-time career passing yardage leader at UND. Schuster passed Todd Kovash (1987-90) for the all-time passing yards record. Kovash threw for 6,234 yards in his career. Schuster broke the Division I touchdown record on a 16-yard pass to Isaiah Smith in the third quarter, using his legs to elude the defense and extend the play on fourth and four before finding Smith in the end zone.   Tommy Schuster passed for two touchdowns on his way to a pair of school records, Tyler Hoosman ran for two scores and North Dakota beat Indiana State 42-7 on Saturday. Schuster was 16-of-19 passing for 162 yards with scoring throws to Garett Maag and Isaiah Smith. Hoosman had 15 carries for 81 yards for the Fighting Hawks (6-3, 4-2 Missouri Valley Football Conference). A pair of Sycamores turnovers led to North Dakota touchdowns in the second quarter. Hoosman scored from 6 yards out on the first play after a Sycamores fumble to snap a 7-7 tie and his 2-yarder after an interception by C.J. Siegel that set the Fighting Hawks up at the Indiana State 36 boosted the Fighting Hawks to a 21-7 lead.

North Dakota broke the game open with two third-quarter scores on Red Wilson's 45-yard run and Schuster's 16-yard toss to Isaiah Smith, who also had a rushing touchdown. Schuster's two TD passes gave him 37 for his career and the most in North Dakota's Division I history. Keaton Studsrud (2014-17) was the previous record holder with 36. Schuster also became the program's all-time passing leader with 6,259 yards, eclipsing Todd Kovash (1987-90), who had 6,234 yards. Justin Dinka had a 2-yard run for Indiana State (1-8, 0-6), which has lost eight straight.   Tommy Schuster threw for two scores, Tyler Hoosman ran for two others, and North Dakota defeated Abilene Christian 34-31 on Saturday. Schuster's twin 4-yard TD passes to Bo Belquist and Garett Maag, both in the second quarter, helped the Fighting Hawks take a 20-14 halftime lead. Hoosman also scored from close range - 2 yards in the third quarter and 5 yards in the fourth - to produce a 34-24 lead. Rovaughn Banks had a 1-yard run to draw the Wildcats within 34-31 with 7:48 remaining but North Dakota did not give the ball back, running off 13 plays to end the game. Tommy Schuster was 23-of-32 passing for 292 yards and Hoosman ran for 112 yards on 20 carries. Belquist had 100 yards on seven catches for North Dakota (5-3).   OCT 9 MISSOURI VALLEY PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINEE: QB Tommy Schuster, North Dakota - In the 35-30 win at Youngstown State, Tommy Schuster went 20-of-31 passing for 292 yards and a touchdown. With his 292 yards passing, Schuster became the career passing leader in UND's Division I history with 5,492 yards. He passed Keaton Studsrud (2014-17), who threw for 5,452 yards in his career. Schuster is also now 17 completions away from becoming UND's all-time record holder for career completions.   Tommy Schuster threw two touchdown passes to Garett Maag, Quincy Vaughn ran for two scores and North Dakota raced past Missouri State 48-31 on Saturday. The Fighting Hawks (3-2, 2-1 Missouri Valley Conference) trailed 21-10 after the Bears scored with 2:36 left in the first half, but a 38-yard touchdown pass to Maag and a field goal as time expired made it 21-20. Tyler Hoosman broke free for a 55-yard scoring run, Vaughn had his second short touchdown plunge and North Dakota was up 34-21 after three quarters. Missouri State (2-3, 0-2), ranked ninth in the coaches poll, got a field goal in the first minute of the fourth quarter, but Isaiah Smith had a 54-yard scoring run and Maag hauled in his second score from 18 yards out.   Tommy Schuster connected with Jack Wright on a flea flicker for a 23-yard touchdown with 53 seconds left to help North Dakota beat Northern Arizona 27-24 on Saturday. Northern Arizona had taken a 24-20 lead with 1:42 left in the fourth quarter after an 11-play, 78-yard drive capped by R.J. Martinez's 12-yard completion to Coleman Owen. UND answered with a five-play, 75-yard drive. NAU held a 14-13 lead entering the fourth after the teams combined for three punts in the third frame before the scoring happened down the stretch.   Tommy Schuster passed for 275 yard and two touchdowns, Tyler Hoosman rushed for 101 yards and a score and North Dakota held off Northern Iowa 29-27 on Saturday for its 36th straight home-opening win. Hoosman scored on a 6-yard run early in the fourth quarter and Schuster ran it in on the two-point conversion to give North Dakota a 22-13 lead. UNI scored four plays later, but Schuster led a five-play, 66-yard drive ending in his 6-yard TD run for another nine-point lead. UNI needed just one play to go 72 yards when Theo Day found Deion McShane with 6:51 remaining in the fourth. Day escaped pressure and launched it over the middle to McShane in stride. North Dakota responded with a 12-play, 57-yard drive, highlighted by a 24-yard reception by Adam Zavalney on third-and-10, to run out the clock.   Tommy Schuster threw one touchdown pass and North Dakota added two more scores off trick plays as the Fighting Hawks rolled to a 34-10 victory over Western Illinois on Saturday. Schuster was 21 of 32 for 274 yards that included an 8-yard touchdown pass to Brock Boltmann early in the third quarter. Later in the third, quarterback Quincy Vaughn handed the ball to Boltmann, who tossed back to Vaughn for a 15-yard score to give North Dakota (3-4 1-3 Missouri Valley Football Conference) a 31-10 lead. Fighting Hawks' receiver Jake Richter was handed the ball on a reverse and then threw to a wide-open Bo Belquist for a 45-yard touchdown midway through the first quarter.   Tommy Schuster threw for 234 yards and a pair of scores and North Dakota beat Drake 38-0 on Saturday. The Fighting Hawks (2-1) amassed 527 total yards of offense as Isaiah Smith ran for 125 yards on 12 carries with a touchdown and Luke Skokna collected 123 yards on eight carries and a score. It's the second time in the calendar year North Dakota has topped 500 yards in total offense having done it on March 13 against Western Illinois. Skonka got North Dakota going sprinting 51 yards untouched down the left sideline for the game's first score with 6:04 left in the first quarter. Weah carried 13 times and his 1-yard TD run midway through the third quarter gave the Fighting Hawks a 22-14 lead.
