Defensive line star Mohamed Kamara announced on Tuesday via Instagram his intention to return in 2023. It will be his fifth season as a Ram, using his NCAA-granted extra year of eligibility due to playing in the COVID 2020 season. Kamara was second-team all-Mountain West in 2022. He was second in the conference in tackles for loss (16) and fourth in sacks (8.5). "The 2022 season meant a lot to me and the direction of this program. Individually, there was success, but there is a lot left to accomplish. I want to be a major part of bringing this program back to the championship level everyone in that locker room knows it can be," Kamara wrote in his post announcing his return. The 6-foot-1, 250-pound defensive end has played in multiple positions in his career and 2022 was his first as a full down lineman edge rusher. He has 123 tackles, 17.5 sacks and 28.5 tackles for loss in 37 career games at CSU. - Fort Collins Coloradoan
