  2022 ALL-SUN BELT CONFERENCE FOOTBALL THIRD TEAM: RB - Percy Agyei-Obese, James Madison (Gr., RB - Frederick, Md.),...Agyei-Obese capped off his illustrious career as JMU's third all-time leader in career rushing touchdowns, at 3,503. This season, he rushed for 908 yards and eight touchdowns, averaging 5.7 yards per carry. Agyei-Obese turned in three 100-yard games, including a career-best 158 at Arkansas State. He also rushed for 75 or more in nine of his 10 games. He's the Sun Belt's third-leading rusher (90.8) while also ranking fourth in yards per rush (5.7) and sixth in rushing scores (8). - James Madison Football

  Percy Agyei-Obese's 8-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter lifted FCS top-ranked James Madison to a 20-17 victory over Elon in a Colonial Athletic Association opener on Saturday. The go-ahead touchdown came after James Madison blocked a punt to start a drive at the 33-yard line, fumbled the ball away five plays later at the Elon 10 then recovered a fumble on the next play, also at the Phoenix 10. Two plays later Agyuei-Obese went in untouched for the go-ahead score with 7 1/2 minutes remaining. Elon went three-and-out on its next possession then James Madison consumed the final six minutes on the ground. The Dukes (3-0, 1-0) went 1 of 9 on third-down conversions through three quarters but backup quarterback Gage Moloney came on to lead both fourth-quarter Dukes touchdown drives, passing 18 yards to Antwane Wells to close within 17-13.   Cole Johnson threw for two touchdowns, Percy Agyei-Obese added two scores on the ground, and James Madison scored 20 unanswered points to beat Robert Morris 36-16 on Saturday. It was tied at 16 at the break before JMU dominated the third by outgaining RMU 140-34. Johnson was 17-of-24 passing with three interceptions, and Agyei-Obese carried it 17 times for 55 yards, reaching 24 career touchdowns, for James Madison (2-0). Kris Thornton and Antwane Wells Jr. each had a receiving score. Ethan Ratke made his 61st career field goal to extend JMU's lead to 29-16 in the fourth quarter.   FEB 22 CAA FOOTBALL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Percy Agyei-Obese, Sr., RB, James Madison (Frederick, Md./Oakdale),...Playing just two quarters, Agyei-Obese rushed for a team-high 116 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries in James Madison's 52-0 victory over Morehead State. The senior broke off a 55-yard run in the third quarter and later found the end zone from three yards out.   Latrele Palmer and Jawon Hamilton each rushed for a pair of touchdowns, Percy Agyei-Obese gained 116 yards with a score and James Madison opened the unusual spring football season with a 52-0 blanking of Morehead State on Saturday. The Dukes, 2019 FCS championship game runners-up, pounded Morehead State with 556 yards of offense to 98. JMU gained 369 yards on the ground and went 6-for-6 in the red zone.   Percy Agyei-Obese ran 33 times for 124 yards and a touchdown and No. 2 seed James Madison dominated defensively in a 17-0 win over Northern Iowa in the FCS playoff quarterfinals on Friday night. James Madison (13-1) won its 13th straight and will face the Montana-Weber State winner in the semifinals. Northern Iowa (10-5) had 58 yards of total offense through the first three quarters and did not cross into James Madison territory until the final drive of the game with less than two minutes left. The Panthers drove 55 yards on 11 plays before turning it over on downs and the Dukes ran out the clock, finishing with a 346-114 edge in total offense. Northern Iowa had seven first downs, three on the final drive, and went 2 of 12 on third-down and 0 of 2 on fourth-down conversions.   2019 ALL-COLONIAL ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION FIRST TEAM (COACHES): Percy Agyei-Obese, James Madison, RB, Jr., Frederick, Md.,..Agyei-Obese led JMU's rushing attack with 884 rushing yards and a league-high 15 rushing touchdowns, averaging 5.0 yards per carry. He ranked third in the CAA with 73.7 rushing yards per game, which included 83.1 yards per game during conference play. His rushing touchdown total was also ninth nationally.   Percy Agyei-Obese ran for 130 yards and three touchdowns and James Madison routed New Hampshire 54-16 on Saturday to clinch a share of the Colonial Athletic Association title. The FCS second-ranked Dukes (9-1, 6-0 Colonial Athletic Association), who also avenged last season's 34-24 loss at New Hampshire (5-4, 4-2), now have a two-game lead over the No. 23 Wildcats and Richmond (5-5, 4-2) with two regular-season games remaining. James Madison hosts Richmond next Saturday.

Ben DiNucci completed 19 of 24 passes for 293 yards, threw a pair of touchdown passes and ran for another score for the Dukes. Agyei-Obese ran for a 24-yard touchdown in the second quarter and scored on 20- and 3-yard runs in the third. Backup quarterback Cole Johnson ran for a 33-yard TD late in the game. Max Brosmer scored on a 1-yard run, Jason Hughes kicked a 40-yard field goal and the Wildcats led 10-3 with 3:21 remaining in the first quarter before the Dukes scored the next 41 points.
