Cole Snyder passed for 265 yards and Tajay Ahmed took over the fourth quarter with 14 carries to lead Buffalo to a 23-21 victory over Georgia Southern in the Camellia Bowl on Tuesday. The Bulls (7-6) chewed up the clock with runs from Ahmed on 11 consecutive plays and one pile-pushing final first down. He finished with 27 carries for 98 yards and a touchdown. That last first down meant quarterback Kyle Vantrease and Georgia Southern (6-7) couldn't get the ball back for a final chance against Vantrease's former team, with whom he spent five years and started 26 games before transferring. Snyder, a Rutgers transfer, completed 21 of 38 passes, including a 32-yard touchdown to game MVP Justin Marshall to outduel his predecessor.

Marshall caught 11 passes for 127 yards, and Quian Williams gained 100 yards on five catches. Vantrease completed 28 of 45 passes for 352 yards and two touchdowns with an interception. Beau Johnson had five catches for 118 yards. It was Buffalo's third straight bowl win after going 0-3 in bowls. Buffalo got a cushion thanks to Dylan Powell's interception and return across midfield in the fourth quarter. Ahmed then carried nine straight times but was stopped on three runs starting from the 2. The Bulls had to settle for a 23-14 lead with Alex McNulty's third field goal of the second half with 8:38 left. That FG was a school record, No. 49 of his career. Vantrease and Georgia Southern stayed alive with a 13-play, 90-yard drive. On fourth-and-7 from his own territory, Vantrease hit Johnson for a 42-yard gain. Then Jjay McAfee made a grab in the end zone for a 13-yard touchdown with 3:38 left. Georgia Southern needed only 26 seconds in the second half to wipe out a 14-6 deficit, thanks to a fumble, Vantrease's 79-yard touchdown pass to Joshua Thompson and a two-point conversion. - Buffalo/AP College Football

Cole Snyder ran for one touchdown and threw for another as Buffalo scored 24 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to come from behind to beat Toledo, 34-27 and go to 4-0 in the Mid-American Conference on Saturday. Toledo held Buffalo without an offensive touchdown in the first half, led 20-7 at intermission and pushed its lead to 27-10 midway through the third quarter. Buffalo's defense provided the spark for the Bulls' comeback. Keyshawn Cobb forced a fumble and Jahmin Muse scooped up the high bounce and scored on a 72-yard run to get Buffalo on the board in the first half. Marcus Fuqua had three of the team's four interceptions on Toledo quarterback Dequan Finn and the defense forced the Rockets into three fumbles, recovering two, including a key fumble in the third quarter when Isaiah King ran down Jacquez Stuart in the open field, stripped the ball and recovered it to help jump start the comeback.

Snyder scored from five yards out with 13:13 left in the game, then found Jamari Gassett in the open field and he juked past his defender to score on a 32-yard run to cut the Toledo lead to 27-24 with 9:35 left. Ron Cook broke free 90 seconds later for a 30-yard touchdown to give Buffalo the lead. Alex McNulty kicked field goals from 40- and 42-yards out for the Bulls (5-3, 4-0). Snyder was 22 of 39 passing for 245 yards and Cook finished with 118 yards on 18 carries. Finn was 25 of 47 for 249 yards and a touchdown to go with his four interceptions and ran for two touchdowns for the Rockets (5-3, 3-1). Stuart had 107 yards on 14 carries. - Buffalo/AP College Football

Cole Snyder threw for three scores and Buffalo broke it open with three touchdowns in the second quarter en route to a 34-7 win over UMass on Saturday. Buffalo (4-3) posted its fourth straight win and third straight road win. Snyder threw a 4-yard touchdown to Quian Williams four seconds into the second quarter to complete a seven-play, 80-yard drive and a 10-0 lead. After UMass went four-and-out, Al-Jay Henderson raced 84-yards through the middle of the Minutemen line for a 17-0 advantage.

UMass got on the board when Ellis Merriweather ran it from the 5 capping a 10-play, 75-yard drive. On Buffalo's ensuing drive, the Bulls sealed it when Snyder threw a 49-yard scoring pass to Justin Marshall with five minutes left before halftime. Kay'Ron Adams ran for 11 yards on 65 carries for UMass (1-6). It was the first meeting between the teams since 2015 when UMass was a member of the Mid-American Conference. The Bulls have won three of the four meetings between the teams since both schools joined the FBS ranks. - Buffalo/AP College Football

Cole Snyder threw a 15-yard touchdown pass to Justin Marshall with 31 seconds remaining in the game and Buffalo rallied to beat Miami of Ohio 24-20 on Saturday. Snyder's pass to Marshall capped a 13-play, 82-yard drive for Buffalo (2-3, 2-0 Mid-American Conference) that took 3:51 off the clock. Miami (2-3) made it to the Buffalo 46-yard line before turning the ball over on downs with 3 seconds left in its MAC opener. Mike Washington's 1-yard touchdown plunge gave Buffalo a 7-0 lead midway through the first quarter. Three scrimmage plays later Aveon Smith scored on a 73-yard run to pull the RedHawks even.

Buffalo took a 14-7 lead on Cole Snyder's 1-yard touchdown run following an interception by Jahmin Muse and a 51-yard return. Graham Nicholson's 35-yard field goal pulled Miami within 14-10 at halftime. Alex McNulty's 43-yard field goal stretched the Bulls' lead to 17-10, but Aveon Smith scored on a 3-yard run and Nicholson added another field goal to give the RedHawks a 20-17 lead after three quarters. Snyder completed 19 of 35 passes for 188 yards with one interception for Buffalo. The Bulls managed just 278 yards of offense, while yielding 359. Smith completed 14 of 26 passes for 119 yards for Miami. He rushed 12 times for 142 yards and two scores. - Buffalo/AP College Football

Cole Snyder threw for two touchdowns, ran for two more and Buffalo beat Eastern Michigan 50-31 on Saturday. The teams combined to score on the first 10 possessions, the 10th a Buffalo touchdown for a 37-31 lead in the third quarter when Snyder found Jamari Gassett alone down the left sideline for a 65-yard play. The first punt came after that, and though Mitchell Tomasek's kick left Buffalo at its 1, the Bulls drove for an Alex McNulty field goal. They added another to lead 43-32 after EMU (2-2, 0-1 Mid-American Conference) turned the ball over on downs. The Bulls scored on their first nine possessions.

The Bulls (1-3, 1-0) avoided their first 0-4 start since 2005 and snapped a seven-game losing streak. Snyder, a transfer from Rutgers, was 19-of-28 passing for 291 yards. Quian Williams had 93 yards receiving and a score. Mike Washington ran for two TDs. EMU's Austin Smith, who took over for injured Taylor Powell in last week's 30-21 win over Arizona State, made his first career start and passed for a TD and ran for another. Samson Evans, who rushed for 258 yards on 36 carries against the Sun Devils, had just 52 yards on 15 carries against the Bulls. Tanner Knue had 106 yards receiving. - Buffalo/AP College Football
