  08/31/21 - WR Mycah PittmanrSr/2025, Utah, 5-11, 214 (DS#999 WR) + More +

Expectations have been high for Mycah Pittman from the day he arrived at Oregon. The third-year sophomore may finally be able to reach them in what he and the Ducks hope is a full season for the wide receiver. Pittman might have the greatest potential and pro prospects of Oregon's returning receivers, but he's rarely gotten to show it so far. He enters 2021 with 26 catches for 350 yards and two touchdowns over two seasons, with 12 games played and nine games missed, and it's actually closer to an even split. A broken collarbone sidelined him for the first four games in 2019, when he later broke his forearm and missed three more games. Pittman officially missed two games last season due to contact tracing, though he barely played against Oregon State.

"That first camp of his he was lights out," Oregon coach Mario Cristobal said. "I'll never forget it was this particular practice (after the second fall scrimmage) two years ago he injured his shoulder. I remember leaving that practice it felt like we had lost a game; that's how devastating it was because he was playing so well. "He's healthy, he's focused, he's locked in, motivated, he takes the hard coaching and (receivers coach Bryan) McClendon, he does the best job of anyone in the country at wide receiver. Those two have formed a really good bond and Mycah wants to be great, he wants to be pushed and he's getting a full dose of it. He's been extremely productive, he's made explosive plays, he's become a gritty player. Always had that in him but now he's doing it in the running game as well. Expecting a huge year out of him." - The Oregonian

  05/14/21 - WR Mycah PittmanrSr/2025, Utah, 5-11, 214 (DS#999 WR) + More +

Pittman was limited to just eight catches for 123 yards in just four games of real action last season and over two years he's still played in just 12 games. Yet he's probably the Ducks receiver with the highest upside in terms of NFL potential. He has great hands, not withstanding an uncharacteristic few drops in the spring game that he apologized for unprompted. Pittman's potential is huge. He's versatile, agile, has a good game IQ, quick and runs good routes. His lack of experience comes out at times though, whether in run blocking - see the Cal game last season - or his lack of consistent production, which isn't entirely his own fault. In a crowded receiving corps, Pittman's ability to play both Z and Y will help him see the field more. But his greatest opportunity for production may still be a year away. - The Oregonian
