2019 AFCA DIVISION II COACHES' FIRST TEAM ALL-AMERICAN: WR Zimari Manning, Sr., Tarleton St. (Texas),...In 2019, Manning hauled in 68 receptions for a school-record 1,462 yards and 22 touchdowns. His 22 scores set a new Tarleton single-season record, tie d the Lone Star Conference record, and led all of NCAA Football (Division I, II, and III). Through the regular season, Manning led all of college football at any level in yards and touchdowns. Manning had 100 yards receiving in seven of the 12 games last season, including a 257-yard performance at UT Permian Basin that earned him D2Football.com National Player of the Week honors. He scored at least one touchdown in 10 straight games starting against Doane on Sept. 14, including eight games with multiple scores and four games with three touchdowns. - Tarleton State Football

SEPT 30 LONE STAR OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Zimari Manning, Tarleton State, SR, Kinesiology, WR, Long Beach, Calif., LB Wilson HS,...Manning was unstoppable for the #4 Tarleton Texans as the senior wide receiver set a new school record with 257 recei ving yards on seven catches with three touchdowns in Tarleton's 49-7 rout of UT Permian Basin Saturday night. Manning sparked the offense with a mammoth first quarter as he hauled in three passes - all touchdowns - for 199 yards in the opening quarter of the game. He broke Tarleton's record for receiving yards in a game, previously held since 1994 by Colin Yocom and became the first Texan since 2010 with over 200 yards in a game. Manning broke off a 33-yard catch-and-run on the third play of the game an d then struck for touchdown runs of 77 and 74 yards later in the quarter. - Lone Star Conference Football
