  08/06/22 - OLB Adrian JacksonrSr/2024, Nevada, 6-2, 230 (DS#999 OLB) + More +

Former Oregon linebacker Adrian Jackson Jr. is looking to continue his career elsewhere. Jackson announced he's in the transfer portal on Thursday, a week after he was removed from UO's roster. A situational pass rusher for much of his career, Jackson is entering his fifth-year redshirt-junior season. He had 16 tackles, including 2.5 for loss, in 2021. A right foot injury kept him out for all of 2019, then a left foot injury ended his 2020 season after four games, when he had four tackles with a sack. As a true freshman, Jackson had 13 tackles with one for loss. - The Oregonian

  07/29/22 - OLB Adrian JacksonrSr/2024, Nevada, 6-2, 230 (DS#999 OLB) + More +

Linebacker Adrian Jackson Jr. has left the Oregon football program. Jackson, who was entering his fifth-year redshirt-junior season, is no longer listed on UO's roster, which was updated on Tuesday. He moved from outside linebacker to inside linebacker in the spring and has been a designated pass rusher for much of his career, which has been plagued by injury. A right foot injury sidelined Jackson for all of 2019, then a left foot injury ended his 2020 season after four games, when he had four tackles with a sack. Jackson had 16 tackles, including 2.5 for loss, last season and 13 tackles (one for loss) as a true freshman in 2018. It's not immediately clear if Jackson intends to transfer or retire. - The Oregonian

  05/20/20 - OLB Adrian JacksonrSr/2024, Nevada, 6-2, 230 (DS#999 OLB) + More +

Adrian Jackson was in line to compete for playing time on the edge last season until a preseason foot injury ended his true sophomore season. With La'Mar Winston Jr. completing his eligibility, the strong-side linebacker spot is open for the taking and even coming off injury, Jackson is the clear front runner. The depth chart is thin though so preseason camp competition will be intriguing, though the position is not utilized heavily. Jackson returned to the field for the shorted spring practice and is the obvious choice to take over at Sam linebacker.

He's got the speed to bring a presence off the edge and has enough size to matchup with receivers or running backs in coverage. "He's explosive," defensive coordinator Andy Avalos said. "He's well on his way to getting back and doing his thing out there and we're excited about that because that gives us another guy off the edge that can absolutely get off the ball and go. We're extremely excited about his progress and where he's going." - The Oregonian
