  12/29/22 - OG Steven JonesrSr/2024, Oregon, 6-5, 342 (DS#31 OG) + More +

Oregon will have a starting offensive linemen back in 2023. Steven Jones, a fifth-year junior, announced he will return to UO for his senior season. "First off, I would like to say thank you Duck fans for all the love and support I have received since coming to Oregon. Thank you to all my family and friends who continue to support me throughout my career here at Oregon. I would also like to thank my mother and father for being by my side every step of the way. Without your guidance and support I would not be in the position that I am today, so I thank you. "Due to injury, my season did not turn out like how I wanted. With that being said, I'm excited to return to Oregon for my final season of eligibility, and will continue to uphold and grow an elite culture coach Dan Lanning and his staff has built."

Jones enters the Holiday Bowl having made three starts in four games this season due to a left foot sprain. He has played 211 snaps. In 2021, Jones started 13 games with four games at right tackle and nine at right guard and played 781 snaps. Over his career, the 6-foot-5, 340-pound Jones has appeared in 34 games. Jones is the second draft-eligible player to announce his return to UO in 2023, joining quarterback Bo Nix. - The Oregonian

  05/29/22 - OG Steven JonesrSr/2024, Oregon, 6-5, 342 (DS#31 OG) + More +

Steven Jones played over 700 snaps last season. He's capable of lining up at four of the five spots but right guard or left tackle seem to be the most likely. Jones split time at right guard last season and was back there during the spring game. Determining whether Jones or T.J. Bass play tackle or guard will have a ripple effect into the right guard spot, where there is also competitive depth. - The Oregonian
