The super senior from San Antonio Cole High School has made 23 field goals and all 60 extra-point attempts - both UTSA records - en route to a school-record 129 points scored this fall.   SEPT 27 CONFERENCE USA SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: UTSA K Hunter Duplessis drilled a 42-yard field goal as time expired to complete a 31-28 comeback victory over Memphis on Saturday at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium. The kick sealed the largest come-from-behind win in UTSA history and marked the second walk-off field goal in the last two seasons for the San Antonio native. Duplessis also made all four extra-point attempts in the win and he currently stands second in the FBS in field goals made per game (2.25). This marks Duplessis' second Player of the Week honor this season (Sept. 6). - Conference USA Football

  SEPT 6 CONFERENCE USA SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: UTSA K Hunter Duplessis opened the 2021 season by making all three of his field goal attempts and going 4-for-4 on extra points in UTSA's 37-30 road win over Illinois on Saturday night. The senior all-conference performer drilled a pair of field goals in the second quarter to help hand the Roadrunners a 20-14 halftime advantage, and his third make of the night late in the third stanza gave the visitors a 23-17 lead. Duplessis, a 2020 Lou Groza Award semifinalist who is on the watch list this year, has now made 29-of-34 field goals (85%) for his career. - Conference USA Football

  UTSA senior Hunter Duplessis has been named to the watch list for the Wuerffel Trophy, college football's premier award for community service. Duplessis is one of 93 FBS players on the Wuerffel Trophy list and this honor comes one day after he landed on the preseason watch list for the Lou Groza Collegiate Place-Kicker Award, which is awarded annually to the nation's top kicker. The San Antonio Cole High School product also is a preseason first-team All-Conference USA choice by both Athlon Sports and Phil Steele and he is on the C-USA Preseason Academic Watch List. An honorable mention All-American by Phil Steele and a first-team all-conference selection in 2020, Duplessis made 17 of 20 field goals and 40 of 41 extra points, marks that rank second on the school's single-season list. - Texas-San Antonio Football

  2020 LOU GROZA COLLEGIATE PLACE-KICKER AWARD NATIONAL SEMIFINALIST: Hunter Duplessis - UTSA,...UTSA senior Hunter Duplessis has been named a semifinalist for the 2020 Lou Groza Collegiate Place-Kicker Award presented by the Orange Bowl, the Palm Beach County Sports Commission announced Monday. Duplessis is one of 20 kickers on the semifinalist list, which includes three from Conference USA. He is the second Roadrunner to earn a spot in the award's semifinalist list, joining two-time honoree Jared Sackett (2017, '18). The San Antonio Cole High School product is one of five kickers on this year's list to have made at least 15 field goals while connecting at a rate of 80% or better.

A weapon with his right leg all season, Duplessis has made 16 of 18 field goals and 37 of 38 extra points. His 16 field goals lead C-USA and rank fourth among all FBS kickers, while he stands second in the conference and 22nd nationally in field goals per game (1.45) and third in the league and 14th in the country in field-goal percentage (.889). He has scored a UTSA single-season-record 85 total points in 2020, good for second in C-USA and 14th in the nation. - UTSA Football

  UTSA kicker Hunter Duplessis has converted his past 16 field goal attempts, marking the longest active streak in the FBS. His last miss was Sept. 21, 2019. Duplessis has connected on 7 of 7 tries this season with a long of 42 after hitting his final nine kicks last year with a long of 43. A redshirt junior who played at Cole, Duplessis is a member of the Roadrunners' leadership council. "He's great in the weight room. He's great in the locker room.   SEPT 14 CONFERENCE USA SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: UTSA senior K Hunter Duplessis extended his consecutive field goals made streak to 12 with a perfect 3-for-3 day, including the game-winner in the second overtime of UTSA's 51-48 victory at Texas State on Saturday afternoon. The senior from San Antonio split the uprights from 27 yards in the second quarter and 42 yards midway through the fourth before drilling a 29-yarder to seal the win on the final possession of the second extra period.
