  2021 OHIO VALLEY CONFERENCE FIRST-TEAM (COACHES): RB - Peyton Logan, UT Martin,...Logan earned his second career All-OVC honor after tallying 131 carries for 982 yards and three touchdowns while also recording 24 receptions for 242 yards and three scores. He ranks second in the OVC with 89.3 yards per game while his 7.5 yards per carry ranks second nationally. He has tallied seven 100-yard rushing performances in his career - including three this season on his way to a pair of OVC Offensive Player of the Week selections. His best rushing performance came against Northwestern State (Sept. 18) when he racked up a career-high 179 yards while adding a 53-yard rushing touchdown. He also posted a two-touchdown receiving night in the home opener against Samford (Sept. 11) to complete a thrilling comeback victory. While he sits 18 yards away from becoming the 10th player to eclipse 1,000 rushing yards in a single season, he has accumulated 2,466 career rushing yards to rank third in program history. - UT Martin Football

  SEPT 20 OVC CO-OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Peyton Logan, RB, 5-8, 190, Sr., Horn Lake, Miss., UT Martin,...Logan won his second-straight Player of the Week honor after carrying the ball 14 times for a career-high 179 yards and a touchdown as UT Martin won 35-10 at Northwestern State to improve to 2-1 on the season. The senior averaged 12.3 yards/carry and scored on 53-yard carry in the fourth quarter to cement the game. He also had a 41-yard rush in the first quarter that setup a touchdown and was responsible for 88 of the team's 92 yards on the final drive of the game. Logan leads the OVC and also ranks fourth nationally in yards/carry (10.03), fifth in all-purpose yards (156.67/game) and 13th in rushing (100.3 yards/game).   Peyton Logan ran for 179 yards on 14 carries and scored a touchdown and UT Martin beat Northwestern State 35-10 on Saturday. Keon Howard threw for 172 yards and a touchdown scored two rushing touchdowns and the Skyhawks (2-1) collected 260 yards on the ground. Howard threw a 14-yard touchdown pass to Rodney Williams II to end a 13-play, 75-yard drive that lasted 5:37 to start the game. At the end of the first quarter, Howard ran it in from 6-yards out to wind up a 6-play, 85-yard drive that was highlighted by his 31-yard pass to Randy Fields Jr. and a 41-yard run by Logan. Howard capped his well-rounded first half with a 1-yard run with 1:59 before halftime for a 21-0 advantage.   SEPT 13 OHIO VALLEY CONFERENCE OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Peyton Logan, RB, 5-8, 190, Sr., Horn Lake, Miss., UT Martin,...Logan tallied 169 all-purpose yards on just 13 touches, scoring a pair of touchdowns as UT Martin came from behind to beat Samford 33-27. The senior carried the ball nine times for 50 yards (5.2 ypc) and caught a team-high four passes for 122 yards and two touchdowns. After the Skyhawks fell behind 17-0, he caught a 60-yard strike from Keon Howard to put UTM on the board. Later in the second quarter the duo hooked up on a 51-yard touchdown to give UT Martin a lead it would not relinquish.   2019 ALL-OHIO VALLEY CONFERENCE SECOND TEAM (COACHES): RB - Peyton Logan, UT Martin,...Logan was another Preseason All-OVC selection that lived up to the hype this season before missing the final three games of the season due to injury. A native of Horn Lake, Miss., Logan was in the midst of a breakout season in which he tallied 109 carries for 784 yards and six touchdowns. He averaged 87.1 yards per game while tallying four 100-yard rushing performance against Northwestern State (149), Eastern Kentucky (112), Tennessee Tech (107) and Eastern Illinois (109). He also tallied 11 receptions for 119 yards while returning five kickoffs for 108 yards, averaging 21.6 yards per kick return. Despite missing the final three games of the season, his 784 rushing yards still ranked second in the OVC. He totaled 14 plays of 25 yards or more, including three plays of more than 50 yards. - Tennessee-Martin Football

  Payton Logan rushed for 149 yards and two scores and John Bachus III threw for two more touchdowns as UT Martin woke up in the second half to run past Northwestern State 42-20 on Thursday night. It was a tale of two halves as the Skyhawks trailed 20-14 at the break but dominated the second half 28-0 to win going away. Logan sealed the victory when he broke over right tackle for a 53-yard scoring run with 2:53 remaining for the final score. Shelton Eppler threw for 285 yards and three touchdowns in the first half as Northwestern State appeared in control going into the break before the Skyhawk defense closed the door in the final half. Wanya Moton picked off two Demon passes, returning one 78 yards for a score and a 35-20 lead with 5:06 left in the game. - AP College Football
