He continued his suc cess at Northwestern registering three 50+ yard punts, with a 58-yard season high. 2019 ALL-MID-AMERICAN CONFERENCE THIRD TEAM (COACHES): Punter - Derek Adams, Kent State,...Adams returned to form in 2019 after an injury cost him most of the 2018 season. His 43.3 yards per punt ranks second in the conference and is right in line with h is 2017 total of 43.6 yards per kick. Adams had a long of 76 yards this year and boomed 11 punts over 50 yards. Perhaps most impressively, he had 19 punts fair caught and Kent State ranks 10th in the nation in allowing just 2.7 yards per punt return this season. - Kent State Football

OCT 7/WEEK 6 MAC EAST DIVISION SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Kent State P Derek Adams,...Kent State junior punter Derek Adams (Manheim, Pa.) punted six times and averaged over 47 yards per kick in a 48-0 loss at No. 8 ranked Wisconsin on Saturday. Ad ams was extremely consistent with a long punt of 51 yards and one inside the 20-yard line. The six punts resulted in just 20 return yards. - MAC Football
