2021 ALL-CAA FOOTBALL SECOND TEAM (COACHES): Shane McDonough, Towson, P, Sr.,...McDonough is an all-conference player for the second time in as many seasons with the Towson program. Racking up 1,857 yards on 45 punts, McDonough ranked third in the CAA in yards per punt at 41.3 and punts over 50 yards with eight, place 15 punts inside the 20-yard line. He had one of the longest punts in FCS with a 72-yard boot against Stony Brook on Oct. 9. - Towson Football

The punter and kickoff specialist for the Tigers, the r edshirt sophomore is second in the league in punting average, notching 43.6 yards a punt, putting 14 inside the 20 and sending nine punts over 50 yards. On kickoffs, he had 17 touchbacks, averaging 55.8 yards a kick. - Towson Football

SEPT 9 CAA FOOTBALL SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Shane McDonough, So., P, Towson (Clearwater, Fla./Clearwater),...McDonough averaged 49.8 yards on four punts in Towson's 42-3 win over N.C. Central. The sophomore had two punts over 50 yards, includin g a 61-yarder that was the longest at Towson since 2017. He placed two kicks inside the 20, including one at the 3-yard line.
